FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
What finishes is Guitar ONE safe on?
Because it has a polish and wax it will shine up your instrument finish amazing. Thus we recommend using on gloss finishes and semi-gloss finishes only. Do not use on Matte finishes unless you want a shine. Also see below on gummy/soft nitro finishes.
Is Guitar ONE safe on Nitro finishes?
It is safe if the Nitro finish is hard and not soft with any buildup. If it has buildup do not use any spray type product as it may mix in with the buildup and cloud it up. For soft and cloudy nitro use our Guitar Pro Strength polish. Will Guitar ONE clean my hardware and remove oxidation on my hardware? It will do great for general cleaning on the hardware but no it will not work for oxidation removal, which needs a bit more abrasives. We have other products that address hardware oxidation such as Pro Strength Guitar Polish.
What is the difference between the Guitar ONE (MN103) and the Guitar Polish (MN101), and which should I use?
The Guitar ONE (MN103) is an all-in-one cleaner, polish and wax. It is the perfect product for regular maintenance on a gloss finish, and it works well on Nitro and Poly finishes, leaving a mirror like shine. The Guitar Polish (MN101) is a paste polish for a deeper clean on gloss finish guitars. You can also use the Guitar Polish for your hardware to remove oxidation (please use caution on gold-plated hardware).

My Guitar ONE bottle sprayer is not working.
Make sure you always shake before using as this product does contain small particles of polish and wax that can clog up sprayers. To remove the clog we recommend running hot water through it while using the pump to free up what is stuck. If that does not work, shoot us an email at info@musicnomad.com and we will send you a replacement sprayer.
Is the Guitar ONE formulation Vegan?
Yes.
I see a date on the bottle is that the expiration date?
No that is the date that we filled the bottle.
What is the shelf life for Guitar ONE?
Each bottle has a date marked on when we filled it. If stored at room temperature the shelf life should be 3 years, but for sure can last longer. Always shake the bottle well before using it. If it ever smells rancid it may have gone bad.
Can I recycle my bottle?
Yes, our bottles are made out of PET, the most environmentally friendly plastic. PET is what water bottles are made of.
Is this safe for Gold Hardware?
Due to all the different gold plating standards and quality levels, we cannot guarantee the Guitar Polish will not remove the gold plating. We have found that gold plating from Korea, China, and Indonesia is very thin and can be polished off easily. We always recommend to use caution on gold plating and either test a small area first and rub very lightly. If you love your gold plating and not sure then we recommend not using this product. We have found the plating on USA, Germany and Japan hardware makers to be higher quality and have used the Guitar Polish successfully on hardware from these countries.
Is this safe on Gold Plated Bigsby?
They use a very thin gold plating process and it’s done in Korea. Our Pro Strength Guitar Polish can remove the plating and do not recommend using it.
My finished maple fretboard is dirty and grimy, can Guitar Polish help remove that?
Yes, since Guitar Polish has abrasives it is very effective at helping polish out fretboard finishes that are soiled with dirt and grime.
What finishes is Guitar Polish safe on?
This is a polish so it should be used on gloss finishes such as nitrocellulose and polyurethane. It can also be used on Guitar Hardware (tuning pegs, pickup covers, bridge) such as nickel, stainless steel and chrome but see the question about gold hardware on this page.
How do I use the Guitar Polish product?
Clean the surface you want to polish first with a MusicNomad Cloth, Nomad Tool or our Guitar Detailer so the surface is clean. It is not the liquid that scratches the finishes it’s the dust.
Does the Guitar Polish product remove cloudy finishes where my arm rests?
Yes, it has been successfully used a lot for this application. Some have called it a miracle worker for cloudy nitro finishes. You may need several applications and some elbow grease to reduce them.
Does the Guitar Polish product remove scratches?
Yes, It can help polish out slight scratches. You may need several applications and some elbow grease. If the scratches are deep it may not be possible to remove them completely. Another option is to use our Guitar ONE or Guitar Wax after using the Guitar Polish, as wax helps fill in the scratches and reduce them.
How much Guitar Polish should I use when applying?
A little goes a long way. You just need 3 to 4 peanut size drops for each side of the guitar. Don’t overuse or will just be pushing around the paste polish. Work in sections, let it dry and haze and then buff off with a clean part of the cloth.
The Guitar Polish is a little thick; can I add water to it to make it less thick?
To thin it out you can add a small amount of water (distilled water recommended) and shake well.

What type of unfinished fretboard wood is F-ONE safe on?
We have yet to hear of one unfinished fretboard it does not work amazing on, even maple. For a more detailed list view our product advisor in the menu and many unfinished woods it has worked on is listed.
How often should I use F-ONE?
The great thing about our petroleum free, lemon oil free, natural oil formulation we have, is it conditions for months. Lemon oil is petroleum based so it looks great for a few days and then starts to dry out the wood. If you play every day then use F-ONE every 4 to 6 months. If you play just 1 to 2 times a week, use every 6-9 months. Also, if your guitar is exposed to low humidity conditions you may need to do more often.
Will F-ONE work on all unfinished instrument wood besides my fretboard?
Works great for unfinished wood bridges and tuning pegs.
Does F-ONE contain any petroleum, lemon oil or silicone?
No
My guitar body and back of the neck seem to be unfinished wood, will F-ONE work on them?
Often Matte finishes look unfinished but there is a seal in them that is hard to see. A seal of any kind over or in the wood will just block F-ONE from penetrating it and would not recommend it.
The body of my guitar and back of the neck is for sure unfinished wood. Will F-ONE work on them?
Yes it will. Remember a little goes a long way with our oil and you don’t want the back of the neck feeling oily. Don’t overuse.
Is your F-ONE formulation Vegan?
Yes
I see a date on the bottle, is that the expiration date?
No that is the date that we filled the bottle.

Each bottle has a date marked on when we filled it. If stored at room temperature the shelf life should be 3 years, but for sure can last longer. Always shake the bottle well before using.
