 HOW THEY WORK 
Vibes are reusable earplugs designed for sound quality. Traditional foam earplugs are only decreasing the volume of high frequency (treble) sounds, but not low frequency (bass) sounds, which is what causes the sound that you hear to be distorted when you wear them. On the other hand, Vibes lower the volume of all sounds equally, from bass to treble, which allows you to hear sound clearly, just at a quieter volume.

Unlike traditional foam earplugs that block and muffle sound, Vibes filter sound. Using specially designed sound tubes that balance sound waves, and sound-enhancing acoustic filters that reduce decibel levels, Vibes allow you to protect your hearing health and stay comfortable in loud environments that would otherwise cause discomfort and hearing damage.

How long does it take for a loud environment to damage my hearing?
Not all vibrations are good vibrations. Hearing damage occurs faster as your environment gets louder. In general, anything over 85dB can damage your hearing. The chart below illustrates how long it is safe to be in environments with different decibel levels.

What’s wrong with foam earplugs?
Foam earplugs weren’t designed for music. They were designed to stop all sound where quality is of no concern. They were made to block sound while using things like heavy machinery, guns, lawn mowers etc. Because of this, they don’t filter sound but merely block it. How do I use Vibes?

• Step 1: Choose your ear tip size (Small, Medium, Large)

Are there different sized ear tips?
Because Vibes knows that one size does not fit all, each pair of Vibes comes with small, medium, and large ear tips to provide the best fit possible.

What's the best way to clean Vibes Hi-Fidelity Earplugs?

• Step 1: Remove the white eartips from the plastic body of the earplug.
• Step 2: Massage the eartips in a mixture of warm water and rubbing alcohol.
• Step 3: Be sure the eartips are completely dry, then reattach them to plastic body of the earplug.

What protection level does Vibes offer?
Vibes provides approximately 22dB reduction across frequencies (15dB NRR).

What is the difference between 22dB in decibel reduction and 15dB in noise reduction rating (NRR)?
In short, both numbers are representing the same level of protection, but they are two different calculations. The calculation of 22dB is the average reduction of decibels across 0hz - 8000hz frequencies. This means that Vibes reduce the decibel levels of your environment by an average of 22dB across frequencies. Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) is a unit of measurement used to determine the effectiveness of hearing protection and takes into account multiple factors, including hedging for human error.

The NRR for hearing protection is lower than the average decibel reduction because NRR takes into account outside factors like improper insertion of the earplugs into the ear.

What is Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL)?
Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) occurs when sensitive structures in the inner ear are damaged by brief or extended periods of loud sounds. NIHL can occur from sounds at or above 85dB, and the damage will occur more quickly as sounds get louder.
